Orlando magazine informs readers that, despite what they printed, a local artist did not play for the Yankees or UF, does not have a painting commissioned by George Steinbrenner hanging in Yankee Stadium, and several other things.

Hard to believe that nobody thought to check into any of Pulliam's claims. I mean, it wouldn't be hard to figure out that he didn't play for the Florida Gators or New York Yankees.

My question: Is Pulliam really Stephen Glass? :D

Why people lie about stuff like that all the time to reporters it truly baffling.

FWIW, people like this lie about their athletic and military achievements all the time. Especially if they have neither.
