Quick writing question.

    When it comes to percent, do you write out the word or do you use the %?

    AP style specifies writing out the word percent.

    My first paper made it two words for the first few years I worked there. But yes, it's percent.

    Unless you're on Twitter. Go with %. Fewer characters.

    Hey, what are you doing, asking a writing question? ;D

    Was anyone else practically excited to open a thread that didn't have to do with the state of the industry, or a paper's demise or ongoing destruction, and kind of vaguely relieved and happy just to answer a simple style question?

    Or was that just me?
