Hey everybody! I'm putting together a playlist for my upcoming 20 hours on the road. Any good last minute suggestions of songs to put on the iPod?

Are you specifically looking for road music or just anything to fill it?

A lot of Pearl Jam works. The Long Road, Untitled and MFC together off a live album and Rearview Mirror, even if it is really about suicide, immediately spring to mind.

Night Driver, SAving Grace, Big Weekend off of Highway Companion by Tom Petty

Any Doors you can get your hands on: Alabama Town, L.A. Woman, Roadhouse Blues, Crystal Ship etc. good stuff to drive to.

I always like to shuffle in some Metallica, especially stuff off the Black album.

  11. Hey, I'm just reportin' the news, SC. I like Van Halen, too, but at least I'd have a few non-country songs that were recorded this century ...
