    Turner signs for 2.8MM

    To me, it's No. 1.

    I don't know what "MM" means in the second.

    I've always used "M" for million, as I did this week in a hed. Someone called and sed it was wrong, which I know it isn't, but just thought I'd throw it out here just in case.

    I think of millimeter when I see "MM." My vote is for No. 1.

    MM, in Roman numerals is 2,000.
    mm is millimeters.
    Maybe mil in stead.
