This questions pops up in an e-mail today and I don't know how to answer it.
Seems to me like a job for professional but thoughts...

My god. Never self-apply hot wax to genital areas.

    Ever.

    Or so I've heard.

There are bikini waxing kits. It hurts regardless. Depends on whether you prefer to inflict the pain yourself or have someone else do it.

    OK, let me rephrase.

Pay the money to let someone trained do it. That way you don't have to answer any questions.

And don't use nair. It can cause some serious pain from what I hear.

I'm with IJAG. You do not want to apply the wax, the strip, etc. and then debate how or when to pull.

Nair does now have some specialized products, for face and underarms and bikini areas. I've never tried them, but they do exist.

If you must have hair removed, there is only one way to go. Threading.

The bikini one isn't bad, but if you're going for a Brazilian or a porn star look, I'd recommend a non-chemical method.

Do I even want to know what "Threading" means?
    I suspect that I don't, but I'll ask anyway...

Threading is a means of hair removal that is less painful than tweezing or waxing. They use a twisted thread to grab the unwanted hairs. It grabs more than once like waxing but doesn't grab (and irritate) the skin. It is quick and you recover much faster than other methods.

Imagine something like two pieces of floss being twisted around the unwanted hairs and then pulled. OUCH! But it's supposed to be better than waxing, which can be damaging to skin.

Personally, I prefer waxing. If it's the right kind of wax, it won't damage your skin. I love the Gigi products, but I'm sure it's different for everyone.
