Yeah, that no-win scenario came in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.

Later in the movie, Kirk found out what it really meant to have a no-win situation when Spock died. One of the most poignant scenes was seeing Kirk slumped down next to his best friend with that wall between them.

Each with his fingers spread, one on each side of the glass, in the Vulcan salute to live long, and prosper.

"The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few...or the one."

You're right, f-t, great scene, great storyline.

I thought the question was going to be "Why does it suck?"

    Wrath of Khan?
Well, it was the best of those movies.

Check out the nifty camera work in that death scene.. It's not just the two of them with the glass, or perhaps transparent aluminum between them, it's the way their reflections play across each other, too. And yes, I am one of those women who love star trek more than you.

    You're not a guy though!

EDIT: And I blame you for putting Katy Perry's "I Kissed A Girl" in my head! Go to your room!

I remember that video. It had Harry Bohemeth (Fabio, but that's what Beavis and Butt-Head called him) in it.
