    Deep thought of the day:

Yawn, you are about to assume the role of village idiot.

And you, JR, are delusional in your beliefs that government is effective. Bureaucracy must be a wonderful thing in your mind, eh?

Yawn, after you graduate from high school, we can talk.

Until then, try not to embarrass yourself any further.

P.J. O'Rourke said it best: "Giving power and money to government is like giving whiskey and car keys to teen-aged boys."

And that's true no matter who's in power.

    One-party rule . . . cancerous.

O'Rourke makes me laugh but he's full of shit.

Give money and power to ANYBODY and you'll have the same result.

People who keep repeating this hoary old chestnut about governments being inefficient and bureaucratic have obviously never worked in a large multinational corporation before.

I deal regularly with Canadian government agencies and trust me, your local Cable company is less accessible, transparent and honest than any government office.

All that says is that you are a brainwashed Canadian, immersed in left-wing bureaucracies most of your life.

    Carry on.

Ever tried to deal with Dell tech support?

Governments don't have the market cornered on inefficiency.

Zeke, our little friend has NO clue what he's talking about.

Inefficient bureaucracies have never been and are not now the sole domain of governments. '

Some people are still slopping up the "Government is bad" nonsense that Reagan made popular.

Yawn chose an apt SportsJournalists.com handle.

  11. Let's have no government!

Reason No. 253 why Ayn Rand novels should be kept away from the young.

Progressive utopian anarchy theory is not the sole province of conservatives.
Robert Anton Wilson is like a leftist, cooler, funnier Ayn Rand.
And he's a much more entertaining writer.
