Q: Do you think Jesus of Nazareth was the son of God?
A: I have no reason to think otherwise.

Q: That's not a definitive, "Yes, I believe he is."
A: Well, I don't have a definitive answer, because he's never read my book."

Q: But you've read his testimony in The New Testament.
    A: I don't know. Have I?

Q: You don’t believe what’s been written in The Bible?
A: I don’t know. I had dinner with Christopher Hitchins the other night.

    Q: And?
    A: That came up.

    Q: And he said?
    A: He doesn’t think it’s real.

    Q: And you said?
A: I don’t have any idea. It doesn’t matter. He’s the Son of God to a vast majority in the United States. He’s exalted. It’s a distractive issue.

Is a person who would answer questions in such a manner unChristian?

Governor, do you believe that President Barack Obama was born in the United States?
I have no reason to think otherwise.

That’s not a definitive, “Yes, I believe he”—
Well, I don’t have a definitive answer, because he’s never seen my birth certificate.

    But you’ve seen his.
    I don’t know. Have I?

You don’t believe what’s been released?
I don’t know. I had dinner with Donald Trump the other night.

    And?
    That came up.

    And he said?
    He doesn’t think it’s real.

    And you said?
I don’t have any idea. It doesn’t matter. He’s the President of the United States. He’s elected. It’s a distractive issue.

    Is Rick Perry a birther?

Rick Perry is a politician. He wants votes. That's all those answers represent.

    Also, he sucks.

Anyone who hasn't been in a coma for the past 30 years ought to care.

Your original post makes no sense.

I don't like Perry, but I don't know how you jump from "I have no reason to believe otherwise..." to say he's a birther...

Yeah, and I'll echo the who cares sentiment...

Point, I'll play the game, but I'm not sure what you question is.

Did Perry make those answers to the first set of questions (re: Jesus, New Testament, etc.) or the second set? I am not following.

Edit: I clicked the link, so I answered my question. But I'm still not sure what yours is.

Note: I read "believer" in your header to mean "Christian." If it means "birther," then I don't qualify.

    Are there WMDs in Iraq?

I have no reason to believe otherwise.

If it's your intention here to kick a little more dirt on Perry's grave, be my guest. But you can't kill him any deader than he did my his own hand.

The rest of us are moving on down the road. Watch out for the zombies.

Has Perry ever heard of the law of diminishing returns? The birther act has long gotten every Republican vote it's going to get. Every moment we're talking about birtherism instead of the economy helps Obama immeasurably.

Raise your hand if you think Rick Perry's gonna be anywhere near any of this come February.

You make such a jump because you want to make such a jump.
