Whichever one had Denise Richards as the character Christmas Snow:

"I thought Christmas only came once a year."

EDIT: That's Christmas JONES, not to be confused with Christmas Snow from Three's Company.

Casino Royale was the best Bond film in decades. I had all but given up on the films until I saw the last one.

If Quantum of Solace is half as good, I will be very happy.

I have a paperback copy of Goldfinger in a box someplace.

I have read it a couple of times. Not that bad, really. It's pulp, of course, but a fun read.

I think this take is exactly right. I watched Casino Royale last weekend because my sons wanted to watch it -- I really had no interest -- and I think it's not so much that the movie was so great as it is that the franchise had slipped so terribly. Craig's Bond is way more interesting, more visceral, than Pierce Brosnan's.
I have to say, culturally, we're so far from where we were in the Sean Connery days, Bond is really a tough sell. The predatory sexuality, the ridiculous gadgets, the ultrasuave demeanor ... it's all so dated and hackneyed. Good for these guys for finding a reasonably relevant way to present it in 2008.

The 1954 Casino Royale is included as a DVD extra with the '66 version.
That's the reason you should put it in your Netflix queue (with Peter Lorre as Le Chiffre - dweeb villains are a fun change of pace).
If you need a '60s spy spoof, stick with "What's Up, Tiger Lily?"

James Coburn would disagree, were he not dead.

I loved the Coburn flicks as well as the Dean Martin Matt Helm ones.

Whatever the context, I miss Holly Goodhead and Pussy Galore. The double entendres were light comedy. Bond was the superhero without the costume. Loved it. First Bond movie for me was Jill St. Jean in "Diamonds are Forever" in a weekend matinee; fun. Then the Sunday Night Movie reruns of "Thunderball", "Goldfinger", etc. Sadly, Octopussy and Never Say Never Again just killed the franchise.

Casino Royale was nice and I enjoyed Craig. Clive Owen was the dream but alas, not to be.

Dalton was a good Bond in bad Bond movies.

Disagree... it just makes Bond blend in with Bourne and Mission Impossible.

They have to be VERY careful.

A degree of camp must be retained.

    This.

Both his entries have aged fairly well. Moore's? Not so much.
