Please explain why you would vote for a GOP president this fall. It surely isn't because of fiscal conservatism, not with the way they've spent money the last 28 years.

    Must be national security.

I guess we disagree, then. Does that make me unpatriotic?

  3. That isn't what I said, or even insinuated.

I don't remember being "scared" in 1984 or '88 or even in 2000, for that matter. Acutally, not in any election.

  4. If anybody is going to bring fiscal responsibility back to Washington, McCain certainly is it.

And if you want fiscal irresponsibility, just take a look at the laundry list of things Obama wants to do.

And yeah, national security certainly does matter.

The myth of "fiscal conservatism" died with Reagan, yet some of you people still believe in it.

And the idea that people have voted for Republicans because they're scared is surely a generalization, but considering the Bush admin's policies, there is definitely some truth to that.

Well, considering the fact that McCain has done pretty much nothing to separate himself from Bush, the assumption that he'll carry out similar policies is a pretty good one.

I still don't understand the significance in registering republican or democrat. I'm not going to vote for someone because of the party they represent, I'm going to vote for the one I believe will do the best job.

  12. And for many around here, Obama=Kerry=Gore=socialists=communists.
