It looks like Pryor will be receiving a lot more playing time. Starting soon?

Bad call. Stick with one QB.

That said, I feel sorry for Troy. The Trojans will get pounded.

They could put anyone at QB against Troy and still come away with a win, not a big win because they are as overrated as ever this season.

You have to go with Pryor. If Beanie Wells was healthy and Pryor started against USC, the score would've been a lot closer. Anybody who watched that game could see USC's defense had a lot of trouble trying to stop Pryor. Even when he was handing it off, the running backs were getting their yards because they were all focusing on Pryor. I think the average yards gained a play while Pryor was in was around 5 and to Boeckman's 2.

  5. michigan did ok with it when they had brady and henson.

normally, i'm not a big fan of this, but with a talented kid like pryor, i don't see the issue.

the bigger concern is making sure he doesn't go off like clarett did. getting a taste of success at 18 is dangerous if the kid is a basket case.

Pryor has already had his taste with all the attention focused on him as a high school senior. I wonder about the kid a little bit after the games he and his family played with everybody regarding his often-delayed college choice, but I don't think he is anywhere near the schmuck that Clarett was/is.

That said, if Pitt continues to struggle and benches Bill Stull at quarterback, I am starting a thread. It may die on the vine, but I'm doing it. Unless I forget....or don't notice when they make the change...or come to my senses...

  7. pitt needs to make a change at head coach, not quarterback. even jay paterno would be an upgrade over pornstar mcmustache.

I wasn't advocating the change at quarterback. That wasn't really the point of my post.

But to add to the threadjack, I'm convinced that if Jay Paterno had the skills to handle even a high school team, he would have taken over for his father and proceeded to run that program into the ground years ago.

Yeah, Urban Meyer, you idiot. How'd that work out?

Tebow still accounted for 50 touchdowns, so the offense was pretty much his.

I like the move to get Pryor more starting time. Boeckman is a sixth-year senior and likely won't be around much longer. Might as well get Pryor as much experience as possible so Ohio St. doesn't turn into the circus that Rodriguez is dealing with in Michigan.

Oh, good. I've been wondering when someone would start spouting this crap. I suppose in two months it'll be someone's excuse for why they should get another shot at the title game.
