Protecting the fans

    1. Extend the netting to the end of the dugouts.

    2. Institute a rule that if the bat flies intact into the stands, the batter is called out, ejected from the game and suspended the next three. It's not that hard to hang onto the bat, if you have a pretty strong motivation to do it.

    I have no problem with the ejection, but the suspension seems harsh, unless it's a repeat offender.

    Game ejection first time in a season. 3-game suspension, escalating, for any subsequent.

    What if the bat flies out of the batter's hands and stays on the field, or goes into the dugout/photo area?
