    "Horrible Bosses" was funny.

There were parts of "Bridesmaids" that made tears run down my cheeks.

    I always love non-physical humor.

    "Motherfucker Jones" in "Horrible Bosses."

And in "Bridesmaids," for some reason the airplane scene when the woman from "X-Men" who was the snob said off-handedly, "Yeah, I know the owner ..." and that just was the straw that broke Kristen Wiig's back. "Oh, do you????" in a real sarcastic voice. I was rolling. Way more than with the over-the-top stuff.

Something about people finally snapping gets me every time in comedies.

This prognosticator says it's probably only going to be seven films.

    If it's eight, he says:

    War Horse
    The Descendants
    The Artist
    Moneyball
    Hugo
    Midnight in Paris
    The Help

And then one of the following four (he says Ides of March) if there is an eighth:

    Bridesmaids
    Tree of Life
    Ides of March
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo

Hate to sound like a broken record...but Tree of Life will be one of the nominees; the movie's on all the Hollywood insiders' Top 10 lists, and Academy folks like Terrence Malick.

You mean they've removed the 17-minute History of the World?

Tiger Vols, you are one of my favourite posters here but, goddammnit, Tree of Life was the worst film EVER. I refuse to believe critics actually like it. They just worship the ground Mallick walks on and are afraid to admit it SUCKED. Almost divorced my wife for taking us there.

Oh, and Owen Wilson ruined Midnight in Paris for me.

Did laugh at both Bridesmaids and Horrible Bosses, though.

As a series of vignettes about a 1950s family, "Tree of Life" was spellbinding.

As a cohesive narrative, it was not.
