Tragic. Gagne, an Alzheimer's patient, may have contibuted to his roommate's death in a fight:

Gagne was a huge name in Minnesota in the '50s through the '70s.

Terrible story. Then again, he's already got Alzheimer's and is confined to a nursing home, so what exactly can or will the criminal justice system do to him?

This was a Law and Order episode once. I think that guy got confined to a secure hospital.

Verne was huge in Minnesota, son Greg less so. McMahon pretty much put him out of business in the mid 80s.

He's the guy who (allegedly) offered The Iron Sheik $100,000 to break Hulk Hogan's legs before Hogan left for the WWF in 1983.

One of the greatest trainers of all time - Ric Flair, the Andersons, Ricky Steamboat, Jimmy Snuka, Mr. Perfect, Sgt. Slaughter, Bob Backland, Iron Sheik, etc.

    Sad story.

What are you talking about? Greg Gagne helped the Twins to two World Series titles!

Wow. That's tragic right there. Great wrestler, even better trainer. Some of the horror stories about his training sessions are unbelievable.

I thought that was Stu Hart, or were Gagne's bad too? Hart's were on those audiotapes in that Brett Hart documentary and talked about in a few books; they were in the basement of their house.

Wow. Verne was a bad mamma jamma back in the day.

Crappy promoter, but sure could wrestle.

Sentence him to a camel clutch from the Iron Sheik?

I could have sworn that Hogan and Savage left for the WWF out of Memphis, after falling in "loser leave town" matches to Jerry Lawler
