Just picked up a couple of Prince tix for $650 for a concert at a venue that seats about EDIT: 1,000.

Wondering if I'll be able to double my money come concert time.

    Your thoughts?

You'd think, but every time I try something like that I get burned. So I hope your luck is better than mine.

People would pay $1300 a ticket to see a concert?

I had an extra pair of Springsteen tickets that I couldn't use a decade or so ago and just as I was about to just try to recoup my money (roughly $100 a ticket), someone offered me $600 for the pair.

$650 a ticket, I believe. He said he paid $650 for two.

Don't wait until the day or week of the concert.

Know what you're willing to accept for the pair of tickets ... say, $1,000.

Put them online for $1,300 and see if you get any bites.

If the show sold out instantly (and I'm guessing it did), you may get someone willing to buy them right away.

Anyone can sell a pair of tickets. Why not throw in a pair of leather pants?

I bet you could get $5,000 from Buzz Bissinger for the package.

Our you call market Prince's sexuality as an ironic condemnation of the gay lifestyle and get dog eat dog to pony up big $$$ (if you can avoid the Irony Police).

Failing that, say it's to see Prince Harry. I bet IJAG would be all-in.

Yeah, I would try to sell them as quickly as possible. You'll probably get more now than if you wait.

I'm a Wills girl. Not Harry. Besides, we've all already seen Harry.

Your chances may not be good. He's doing the same thing here -- playing a roughly 1500 seat club for four shows. Tickets have been on sale for a few days at $250 apiece and they're still available.

two shows here. 1,000-seat venue ... not a 2,000-seater as i wrote earlier.
shooting for $1,300 for the pair, but will be pleased with $1,000. i already have a co-worker who wants them at face value, but my wife is making noise about keeping them for ourselves. the lose-lose would be keeping them for ourselves, even tho they are seriously great seats in a kick-ass venue ... maybe the best i've ever seen.
