People who gravitate towards The Onion have sense of irony, sarcasm and humor. People who would gravitate towards the Babylon Bee don’t have intellects capable of grasping irony and sarcasm, or dark humor or even exaggerating for the purpose of proving a point.

My wife’s family shares their stuff all the time, and 99% of the time I either cringe or bristle, so it’s weird to be in a position to defend the Babylon Bee. That said, clearly they can grasp irony and sarcasm. You can find it misplaced or off the mark, but by virtue of being a pale imitation of The Onion they get the humor.

To review the bidding: The White House Counsel submitted to 30 hours of interviews with the Special Counsel's office. He did so because he was worried Trump was trying to make him the fall guy in the Russia investigation. Obvious point 1. Nobody worries they'll be the fall guy if they don't think there's something to fall into. Obvious point 2. Such a motive is unlikely to cause McGahn to offer exculpatory testimony about Trump.

McGahn referred to Trump as "King Kong" behind his back. Presumably he picked this nickname as they both are angry all the time, often accompanied by beautiful blondes and are associated with NYC skyscrapers.
