    Yeah, if if he was, why hire him into the campaign? It does not make sense, unless he's getting a high paying job in exchange for not talking about compromising things he saw when close to Trump.

    I always thought Tillerson had a gravitas that was sorely lacking in this regime.
    He never needed this job and was smart enough to know what he was getting himself into.
    So why did he take it?

    The thing about Pompeo is that Trump is making the ex-Director of the CIA Secretary of State. It will be very difficult to sell many of the nations we have strained relations with that he is an honest broker, willing to examine diplomatic proposals and make compromises. He's been very hard line on things like the Iran Treaty - which means that he's closer to Trump's positions but I'm not sure that's a good reputation to start diplomatic negotiations from.

    I also wonder what Mueller may have on him from various intercepts forwarded by the foreign IC.
