Nope. No Republicans either. There is so much of this stuff that hundreds are cowered into silence by fear of their own exposure.

FWIW Conyers was routinely cited as one of the worst Congressmen to work for in those anonymous staff polls DC media run every now and then. Famous for temper, firing people then re-hiring them the next day, etc. Not too surprising this extended into sexual harassment. Former Sen. Richard Lugar always won the nicest guy to work for prize in these stories.

Posted what, seven hours after the story broke? The trolling is strong with this one.

Any elected Republicans call for Trump to resign yet?

I think there needs to be some focus on how Conyers paid the one victim off.

She was put back on the payroll until she’d received, in salary, the agreed upon amount of money.

Imagine anyone in a private sector job doing this.

Obviously they are OK with taxes going up because ...

    A. liberal tears
    B. her emails
    C. Franken is a scumbag
    D. zillionaires need tax breaks
    E. all of the above

It's probably how it's been done for decades. Doubt Conyers thought it up on his own. Few Congresspeople of either party think up things on their own. As a society, we distrust original thinkers, and maybe we're right to.

Congress needs to release everything they have on this issue. Redact the names of the accusers if necessary, but we need to know who the predators are, how much was paid out, and how the payments were approved and made.

What we really need is for Congress to end their exemption to FOIA laws. Congress should live under the rules they enforce on others.

I’m not a Trumpist, but there’s no “this” there to be OK (or not OK) with. A goodly portion of the plan is “temporary” because of the procedural realities (filibuster threat, reconciliation, etc.). It’s dumb, but that’s politics.

I’d wager folding money that there’s no formal documentation dealing with any of this.
