    Good God.

EDIT: Just saw that banner. Some days you can't make this stuff up.

Sort of an empty gesture anyway, with so many votes already cast by mail.

EDIT: Billings Gazette joins the unendorsement club. Both are Lee papers, IIRC?

I think what you all arguing with YF over his Richard Spencer analogy are missing is that in his worldview a journalist asking questions of a politician is pretty much equal to a neo-Nazi, while the rest of us recognize the obvious difference.

That said, I abhor all violence and think the jackass who sucker-punched Spencer should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. The same goes for Gianforte.

This Montana thing raises a question I've always had about early voting. This is rare, of course. But in light of the odd twists of 2016, can we not foresee a scenario in which something major about a POTUS candidate -- health issues, video or audio, litigation -- surfaces the day before the election and causes many to want a do-over? In some states, of which Montana is one, the do-over is impossible.
Early voting sounds nice. It has its thorns.
This also points out the absurdity of different voting laws by state. It is silly to me that people in one state have greater opportunity or flexibility in voting than in the state across the border.
