How the hell do we say this shit with a straight face? We lead the world in "denying the sovereignty of other countries".

2009 would be fine. Don't you die in a fire in 2017?

Dean quit the Episcopalian church because it had a very centralized, top down governance structure. The Episcopalians trace their church to the Anglican Church in England (the American branch separated because of the revolution). Dean preferred a church with a very decentralized governance structure such as the Congregationalists so he changed.

The Pilgrims moved to Plymouth Colony in large part because they objected to the centralized governance of the Church of England. The Pilgrims adopted a very decentralized governance structure where members of the local congregation could vote. This form of church governance influenced the local governments of New England. This is where the idea of a New England town meeting came from. These ideas also influenced the revolt against the King of England and the founding of a democracy in the United States. Do you question the faith of the the Pilgrims?

The Pilgrims belonged to a denomination now referred to as Congregationalists. So Howard Dean changed from being an Episcopalian to a Congregationalist for some of the same reasons as the Pilgrims. I know you enjoy being snide but please learn something about the religious denominations you are taking shots at.
