Let's play a little thought exercise:

What's one thing you thought Trump would do, good, bad or otherwise, that appears to have not come to pass?

Mine: Died. I thought with that diet, that ass and some clear signs of cognitive decline, I would have expected him to stroke out a year ago.

Thank you for reaching out, it brought me back to a concert I attended years ago.

A performance by the iconic band, Nazareth, in their salad days.

We sang the chorus at the show, no idea then (or now) what the rest of the lyrics are. Great guitar riff.

I welcome you with open arms

I expected a full-on shooting war as a wag the dog move. Still not convinced he wasn’t flirting with that last January with Iran, but his gut-level cowardice when it comes to making truly monumental decisions may have broken in our favor that time.

For all of the handwringing over pardons, and I hate them, I tried to tell people 4 yrs ago voting for a president has serious consequences, it’s not “just one guy”, their power is enormous.

Answering the question above, I knew he was a clown, I just thought there would be some guardrails, yet those assclowns in the Senate just let him roll over them, Framers’ “balance of power” intent be damned.

On the East Coast we’re in the last day Trump will be president. It’s a good thing.

I really thought he’d get bored with the day-to-day and be largely ceremonial. We’d end up with an awful but traditional post-Ford Republican.

Instead he got bored with the day-to-day, ignored his role as president and terrorized the country with his Twitter feed.

Except for that one album, aren't they all salad days?
