But other than that, how was his speech?

Why should we have truth commissions when we have perfectly good criminal court systems?

Rambling, thickly accented and mostly incoherent.

Like every other of his speeches.

    Not even smooth criminals.

Washington (CNN) — Senior officials throughout various departments and agencies of the Trump administration tell CNN they are alarmed at White House pressure to grant what would essentially be a no-bid contract to lease the Department of Defense's mid-band spectrum -- premium real estate for the booming and lucrative 5G market -- to Rivada Networks, a company in which prominent Republicans and supporters of President Donald Trump have investments.
The pressure campaign to fast track Rivada's "Request for Proposal" (RFP) by using authorities that would preclude a competitive bidding process intensified in September, and has been led by White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, who was acting at Trump's behest, sources with knowledge tell CNN. To push his case, Meadows has sometimes used as his proxy an individual identified by sources in the telecommunications industry as a top financial management official in the US Army.
Sources tell CNN that Trump was encouraged to help Rivada by Fox News commentator and veteran GOP strategist Karl Rove, a lobbyist for, and investor in, Rivada.
Untold billions are at stake. A government auction of 70 megahertz of spectrum in August went for more than $4.5 billion. The Rivada bid would be for 350 megahertz of spectrum -- five times that amount.
Rove denied to CNN that Rivada is seeking an RFP or any non-competitive process. "If we were offered a no-bid contract we would turn it down," he told CNN. "The technology should stand on its own."

Drain the swamp, my ass. More like “Flood the swamp and turn it into a lake.”

You know, if culture war means that you don’t get to push your religion on me and others that don’t share your beliefs, then damn right I want a culture war.

You don’t like abortion? Don’t have one. You don’t like LGBTQ marriage? Don’t marry an LGBTQ person. Want to pray to your God in school? Fine, but you don’t get force the rest of us to see and hear it too. Like the 10 Commandments? Fine, but you can like them in your home instead of property funded by my taxpayer dollars.

I’d agree with most of that. Further, I’ll be voting for Biden in part because I know the how poisonous Trump has been for the US.

I don’t think I’m being specious about pain, but you’re entitled to your opinion.

By culture war, I mean this:

If Pelosi and Mnuchin make a deal and McConnell holds it up? You bet it is. One thing that unites all sides of the culture war is that they're ready to get their next $1,200 totally non-socialist check from the government. If the Turtle pushes Amy Covid Barrett and holds that bill back to do so, there are a whole bunch of hurting Red Staters who will throw a fit, same as the Dems.

They want that check a lot more than most of them care about the Supreme Court, and they will expect Congress to by god be able to do both or work weekends like they do when it's crunch time.

Sounds like Ron Dunn of Eagleton, Indiana. Wonder if he ever made it to full "freegan".

The company took in $17.5m and was valued on his balance sheet at less than $15k?

Have fun explaining that one away. This could be one hell of a powerful torpedo.

I can't wait for the debate now. And the Sunday Shows. Chris Wallace's panel should be interesting too, with Rove's telecom spectrum bid scam coming out.
