Yeah, it's not like he mispronounced Thailand. He only said African-Americans are not a diverse community. They all think the same. JFC.

Biden told NPR’s Lulu Garcia-Navarro that "unlike the African-American community, with notable exceptions, the Latino community is an incredibly diverse community with incredibly different attitudes about different things. You go to Florida, and you find a very different attitude about immigration in certain places than you do when you’re in Arizona.”

He deserves criticism for that one. You can certainly read that as Biden saying that African Americans are all alike. The comparison wasn't the issue. It was his characterization of African Americans. At best, it was very stupid.

Biden draws distinction between diversity within Black and Latino communities

Biden is correct that the Latin community is hardly monolithic. But he was dumb in lumping in the Black community in his assessment. A comparison is completely counterproductive.

Good thing Niger wasn't mentioned in Trump's speech.

And I agree it was hardly "well-phrased" - accurate or not. I do think anytime anyone mentions "the Latino vote," they don't understand the generational, geographic and cultural differences that exist among people who are Latino. It's often portrayed by media people as a "tap-in" for Dems (with the exception for Little Havana).
