Trump is Koresh, otherworldly. Doesn't matter who's next, the GOP could effectively die post-Trump.

Maybe they were thinking of Sen. Cottonmouth and Sen. Graham.

It's Carl Bernstein. His repertorial credentials are decent.

Sorry for the misspelling. Must've been thinking of summer theater.

    Trump admits it: He's losing

The first person quoted in this story is Sam Nunberg, the goof who was tweaking on live TV a few years back (feels more like 20 years ago).

If that's the calibre of 'adviser' and 'insider' then the story is not very convincing.

The Texas Lt. Gov. (Dan Patrick) is pushing 70 and has hit his ceiling with Abbott, Cornyn and Cruz all not going anywhere. That leaves the likes of Cotton and Hawley in the Senate and Jordan and Gaetz in the House. Plus the raging Trumpist goobers in Florida and Georgia.

Every Republican elected president in the past 90 years had either been a VP for eight years or had a high degree of name recognition unrelated to any political record (WWII hero, Hollywood actor, son of president, reality tv star). None of the current crop of GOP "stars" fall into either category.
