    Brophy went after a fan with a hacksaw once.

    There’s a great story about Brophy at about the 1:55:00 mark of this episode of Spittin’ Chiclets, how he threw hot coffee on a rink kid when he kept interrupting his talk between periods. It’s told by one of his players Brendan Walsh, who is a phenomenal story teller.

    Listening/watching Randy Newman at the Capitol Theater in 1978, and I never realized how much “Political Science” is closely aligned with the “president.” Like, I could absolutely hear him bemoaning the fact that South America stole our name.

    Definitely a venue I wish I could have seen (I was born in 1976). I belong to Wolfgang’s Vault - which is how I watch or listen to these shows - and they have quite a number of concerts from the Capitol. David Bromberg is a favorite.
