VBM isn't rocket science. We've been doing it for a decade. Results are quick and easy to tabulate. Plus, no problems with late ballots, etc.; if it's not in by 8 p.m. Tuesday, it doesn't count, no matter when it was postmarked. If you don't mail it by the previous Wednesday or Thursday, you're told to use one of the thousands of dropoff boxes around the state.

Same here in Colorado, though I'm quite certain they don't start counting until 7 p.m. The state does release how many ballots have returned by registered party in the lead-up to Election Day. And you can sign up to get email notifications of when the ballot was sent out, that it was received and that it was approved to be counting based on the signature on the outside of the envelope.

He's gonna win that senate seat in Grants Pass. Huge red district.

Oh, boy, is he going to stir up a hornet's nest. Notice how careful and non-confrontational he is in an effort not to make minds slam shut before he can get a message in.
