When he’s out of power, the tsunami of details coming out of Washington about his abuse of power will be so overwhelming it’s going to be very difficult to report.

I'm with Jonathan Bernstein of Bloomberg. The "distraction" idea is what he calls a clever fallacy. Trump is just not that deliberate nor artful. He's a mentally deteriorating narcissist who just blurts out whatever pops through the Swiss cheese holes in his frontal lobes. He's either lying, his default mode of speech, is actually taking the stuff, which I don't believe, or is being fed a placebo by his staff, which I do believe.

He threw Pompeo under the bus, saying he fired the IG "because Mike asked me" at the very same event he said he was taking the drug. Not much of a distraction. Clever fallacy.

I said two weeks ago there would be one of two responses to the numbers, whatever they were.

"We told you so!" (more cases/deaths)
"We don't believe the numbers!" (fewer cases/deaths)

Heads I win, tails you lose. Every day here.

Meanwhile, in the 18th paragraph of that story . . .

To suggest that sentence somehow changes the very good reason to question the numbers is just more of your contrarian bullshit.

as has been said, it's easy to mistake what might be a seasonal slowdown in the rate of infection for some sort of bullshit clay travis gotcha.

good luck with that second wave.
