Ah yes, Chip Roy, from the noted swampland that is suburban Austin. I'll be shocked if he runs for re-election. I've never seen a dude buck so hard for a sweet K Street gig.

I'm curious to see how many hits "Republican blocked disaster relief" received on Google, and how many hits "Democrat blocked disaster relief" received. My Google no longer lists hit totals.

“If Trump continues down this path — over former White House counsel Don McGahn’s refusal to appear before the House Judiciary, for example — expect to see more swift rulings swatting down his legal arguments in the coming weeks and months,” Mariotti wrote. “No court is going to rule that the executive branch can categorically refuse to produce evidence and witnesses from a criminal investigation of the president of the United States to the House of Representatives.”

Haha, this is great. No president can, or should, ever lose sight of the fact that he or she reports to Congress, at any time if needed, each and every time. Trump demands to be our exalted king, which is why he rails so hard against our nation's well-defined structure of checks and balances, which our founders put in place exactly to protect all of us, regardless of political stripe, from a power grab by a deranged and diabolical lunatic.

Well, we have our deranged and diabolical lunatic now. He's also dumber than dirt, another nasty surprise.

How Congress (and voters) respond is so important to what the idea of Congress (and voters) is meant to be.

Until it gets to SCOTUS, where John Roberts is spring-loaded to projectile himself into Roger Taney Land.

The great payoff would be if Trump got his case(s) to the Supreme Court and then got his ass kicked out the door.

Maddow appears to insinuate on Friday night that Trump blew off McConnell in making Cuccinelli nomination. Trouble in paradise?

As of 7:00 pm EST on election night, EVERY polling service had Hillary winning by (an average of) about 5 percent. EVERY SINGLE ONE, even those widely known for severe GOP bias. Services using different polling audiences and sampling techniques. They all called HRC the winner.

Yet in the next 90 minutes all of those polling services suddenly appeared to be wrong. Every single one?

Hillary did win the popular vote by about 2 percent, within the margin of error of most polls.

If the margin of error for all polls all swung the same direction.
