    The minimum wage being severed from the Senate relief bill may be another reality check for the progressives. Yes, the minimum wage needs to be raised to make it a living wage, as has been done in so many communities. But is the relief bill worth holding up for this? Wouldn't it be better - at least in the eyes of the Senate parliamentarian - to make the wage hike a separate bill? The calls for making an end run around the parliamentarian's order sound perfectly Trumpian.

    Yeah, I don’t get it. They have the House and nominal control of the Senate. Do it the right way. They can’t get all their members to vote for it? Or pull in one R?

    It should be a separate bill. Let the GOP filibuster it. You run on it in 2022.
