On March 9, there were a handful of known cases in the US and the known death toll was what, 3 or 4 people?

It's fun to play this game for some people, though. During the shut downs, he was criticizing people like Fauci for being too draconian. Post after post on here. But on March 9 during a fluid situation in which we didn't yet have a handle on what we were dealing with yet, now he's here to criticize Fauci for not sounding an alarm.

Leader attempts coup to stay in office, fails.

Former leader gets back into position of power, then attempts another coup, this one legislative, to overthrow the popularly elected leader of the country is banana republic stuff.

Also, you don't have to be a member of congress to be Speaker of the House. It is just a norm that previous Speakers have also been House members.

So, in theory, Trump could be elected Speaker, not be in Congress, and still attempt a legislative coup on a guy who got the most votes for president, ever.

... so Fauci was supposed to know EXACTLY what to do given zero precedent and zero support from the administration?

A mistake was made. Unlike the Subhuman Pile of Crime, Dr. Fauci possesses humility. We learned. We grew. We adapted.

You're acting as if you've never learned, grown, adapted or made a single mistake in your life. I know better. But posts like this are going to test that Nomex suit you'll need to continue to wear to its limits.

Well, I can speak to the Arizona end of that. Three years ago Arizona had two Republican senators and was reliably red in the presidential race. The state GOP handed the keys to a hardcore Trumpist QAnon loony. Arizona now has two Democratic senators and went blue in the presidential election. State Republican leaders threw a fit over the election results, promoted protests with Alex Jones and encouraging participation in the Capitol riot with “are you ready to die for this?” tweets. Since then, thousands and thousands of people have switched their political affiliation away from the GOP here. The state senate is now pushing a bill that would effectively end presidential elections in Arizona — the electors would be decided by the legislature. THAT’S how out of touch they are.

They’re imploding. They’ll do fine in places like Alabama. In places where the Republican/Democrat split is relatively close, they’re fucked.

So tempting to wish they'd secede, but then I live in Tennessee.

Many healthcare workers couldn’t get masks in March 15, never mind some jamoke in Cleveland.

Encouraging folks to go for a run on masks could’ve crippled hospitals and health clinics.

The correct thing (discouraging people to buy masks) was done for the wrong reason.

This is literally what they were saying at the time. Leave the masks for healthcare workers. Back when states were competing against each other for PPE because someone couldn’t get off his fat ass to deal with it.

Anyone who wants to criticize it now for not doing more then is talking out their ass. And they are just saying it because for the last 12 months they had to do things for other people rather than themselves for a change. Which is ironic given how much they defend certain totalitarian governments who very much dictated what people could and could not do.
