    Ok as one who rides his Harley out to there for the annual Yuma Prison Run I can shed some light on the area. First, four months of heat is charitable. When I go out there in April it is hot, 90s, sometimes 100s. May it is consistently triple digits and pretty much stays that way until the end of Sept, with June, July and August miserable. The plus side is cheap cost of living. There is a Mexican border town about 15 minutes away that is pretty cool to go check out and yes, San Diego and Vegas are reasonable drives. If you go for an interview, book your hotel at the Howard Johnson's, they have a hosted happy hour every day from 5 to 7. Free booze is always a good thing.
