prep fb winning streaks

    My old HS is the biggest in the state (WA) and we stink at every sport except swimming and cross country.

    I remember when Hudson, Mich., set the record of 72 straight when I was a kid. I thought that would NEVER be broken.
    It lasted until the first year Michigan had a playoff system.

    I learned in a half dozen years of prep reporting at USA Today to approach that book with caution. It ain't complete.

    couldn't find anything historically, but the longest active streak in my state is 33 by william floyd high school on long island. upstate, couldn't tell ya.

    Can't be Zillah. It's only a 1A, doesn't have swimming and isn't very good at cross country.

    I just took a cursory look at the WIAA enrollment numbers and I'm going to guess Inglemoor.

    I know Georgia's is 47, by Buford (ended by my alma mater, thank you very much). Broke the mark of 46 by Parkview, which broke the mark of 44 by Lincoln County. These things move slowly.

    Georgia's longest losing streak, however, is much more impressive.
