    thanks buck, you rule.

and as a sidebar, rumor has it that the colgan coach once was asked about recruiting a few years back. supposedly he answered the question with something that went like this: "awww, we win too many games to have to recruit any more. they find us."

I once investigated a baseball team that had rampant recruiting rumors. The coach, when he finally got exasperated with me and chose to talk, gave me a great quote almost exactly like that.

He pointed to the state championship banners on the outfield fence and told me, "See those? Those six banners make six very good recruiting tools."

in washington and oregon, i believe you get one move, no questions asked. if you want to move again after that, it becomes a little more dicey.

You haven't seen a high school game till you've watched Artesia High (New Mexico) at the Bulldog Bowl. They've won, IIRC, 28 or 29 state titles.

68---Celina (includes all playoff wins); I think that's still the record

Independence in Charlotte had stretched that streak to over 100 games (109?) before losing a game to a Cincinnati-based school last year.
