Is it better to bet the Preakness or Belmont if you are looking for returns on your money? Just seeing these odds is a crapshoot with any horse not named Big Brown. I might as well put my money in a bag and light it on fire.

Belmont, unless you have a GREAT idea of who's going to fill out tomorrow's exacta or tri.

Yes, that math is correct. A trifecta of 7-all-all comes to 110 different bets.

One check of Preakness.com says post time is 6:15 EDT.

About two hours before Big Brown wins by 20 lengths.

Talked to a handicapping buddy earlier in the week. I asked him if it was worth putting down a couple bucks on Big Brown. His response? "Yeah, if you want to put down $2 to win eighty cents."

His prediction is that Big Brown loses the Preakness and then retires to stud.

I put a 10 spot down on Macho Again to win, only because I like the name. For the hell of it, I also boxed the 6-7-8.

Big Brown's not a horse. He's a fuckin' tank. You could put Karl Malone and John Stockton on him and I don't think it'd matter.

The NBA already tried to put two stars on a horse's back at the 2003 All-Star Game. Jamie Foxx and Justin Timberlake joined Rebecca Lobo and a cast of others to form Team Smith.

Ok, we just had our $1 draw for the Preakness Stakes in the office.

I ended up with Giant Moon. 30-1 odds. C'mon!

Better than its lesser known cousin, Viking Moon.

If I had to bet, I would box:

    7 - Big Brown (1-2)
    3 - Icabad Crane (30-1)
    4 - Yankee Bravo (15-1)

Let's see if I would win back some money or lose my imaginary $12.
