    sounds like a long a road ahead for you and your dad, tex. but this can be done. we'll all keep the prayers coming your way, fwiw. i'm a non-believer but prayers can never hurt, right?

    TX - I was in your shoes 51 weeks ago. It's very rough, but hang in there and hope for the best. Stay vigilant with the doctors and nurses and be a good advocate for your dad. Start talking to the hospital's social workers now about rehab options. It can be tough getting into a top rehab and you might need to start that process now.
