    My proposal for an informal gathering/pub crawl in Austin on Friday, Aug. 24 still stands.

    I just looked on Hotels.com and there several places in the $60-70 range that are fairly close to downtown.

    And Austin is definitely west of the Trinity.

    Oh hell, I'm fine. Some parts of West Texas are better than others. This part's not too bad. The women are smokin' hot and there's minor-league baseball and hockey. Things could be much worse.

    I'm maybe 1 1/2-2 hours from Evansville, so I'm there. Just give me the time and place...

    And just to be sure, we're doing this on a Thursday and not Friday?

    Yea, yea, yea. I left a word out. I suck!

    And yes, KY, we're doing it on a Thursday. I have a rehearsal dinner Friday and a wedding on Saturday.
