    do you often use webster in your stories? people really like that shit, really, they do.

    also, professor, it has to take place a second time before it happens on a yearly basis.

    Never have used Webster's in a story. Often have used Webster's in thinking.

    You're right, I should have said "the first in what is planned to be a series of presentations done on an annual basis provided we all stay alive." That's much bettter than "first annual."

    Jesus Christ. Why can't you just use inaugural? It's the correct term.

    I dealt with "first annual" only because Cranberry inaugurated such a discussion.

    you can also say that the award is planned to be awarded annually. According to AP, it isn't annual until the third event (after two are held)

    I don't know about the papers you've worked for, but all the ones I have followed AP style on things like this. Just sayin'. All we know is that it isn't annual until at least the second year.
