Typo on Ochocinco cereal box has callers dialing a porn hotline instead of a charity:

Guess it depends how you define charity now doesn't it?

Guess those laid-off copy editors aren't finding their way to the cereal biz.

Can Ochocinco do anything that doesn't draw excess attention?

How come when a mistake like this happens involving a toll-free number, it always rings into some kind of porno line?

Why doesn't anyone dial the wrong number and get Dial-A-Prayer or the Butterball Turkey Basting hotline?

Not if he can help it. Anybody else thinking maybe this was intentional?

The serious answer would be in statistical probability. The sheer volume of phone sex lines outweighs everything else.

The more fun answer would be that whoever fills these things out are likely on the phone talking to the phone sex line at the time that it's put to print. With the number fresh in his mind from dialing, he just types it on the box...

This cereal is from the company that did Flutie Flakes. Highly doubtful it was intentional. The numbers are almost the same. One's 888, the other is 800.

Maybe this is too simple to believe that no one did this, but, why in the hell didn't someone double-check the phone number by *actually calling it,* before spending money to print it on the boxes???

Or am I actually thinking too much here?? (Please be kind when you answer that).

Maybe Ochocinco checked it. Probably just laughed his ass off when he found the mistake, knowing it would only get him what he truly craves -- more attention.
