My computer returned from its trip to its maker repaired and running like a champ.
And with a hard drive stripped of everything I had installed.

Most of it is back, though I'm still replacing some of the music.

I can't remember where I got my pop-up blocker. I want to say google had something to do with it, not as in a search but the actual blocker?

    Need a good reliable blocker.

The Google Toolbar includes the pop-up blocker to which you refer, and it is indeed the best available for Internet Explorer.

I'll be the the first of many, likely, to recommend using Mozilla Firefox as your primary browser. It has a pop-up blocker built-in.

I think I use the Google Toolbar about once a minute. Tremendous program...great popup blocker, the little google search window right there....great stuff.

I'll be the second of many to recommend Firefox. Haven't had a pop-up in years. :)

I use Netscape 7.2 (8.0 is clumsy to me) and haven't had a problem in years.

Installed and it works *** which is amazing if you know me.

I figured I'd have to call Rosie 10 or so times for help.

Didn't even have to do a restart. Had five blocked pop-ups within moments.

    We thank you all.

I use Firefox and still get the occasional popups, but they are minimal and barely a distraction, it runs so smooth.

Or, you could just use a Mac....

I've had 20,278 popups blocked in about two years or so.

Let me add to the praise of Firefox.

My son has firefox. Loves it. The appeal is lost on me.
