So now the MLBPA is starting a collussion investigation on behalf of Bonds, Lofton et al ... a bunch of old guys who can't play anymore.

Time for fat head Barr-oid to STFU and retire.

Yep, great clubhouse guys, Bonds and Lofton.

Wondering where it says you're entitled to play until you're 50 years old.

Is David Wells really wondering why he can't find a job?

Well, he did offer to buy beer for every clubhouse who would give him a chance ...

Bonds would be able to help a team like the Tigers, whose lineup hasn't been what many thought it would be. And the fact that he and Van Slyke would be forced to share the same dugout again would be hilarious.

That is some list. Ha ha ha. Is the cuddly Jesse Orosco part of the aggrieved as well?

To be honest, Wells was pretty funny doing some morning sports radio stuff on the San Diego Padres' flagship station during spring training.

That actually would make some sense for the Tigers. Aside from the comedy of Van Slyke and Bonds having to co-exist, if I remember correctly, Leyland has been one of Bonds' defenders.

It is not fair to say Bonds can't play any more. His defensive abilities are shot, but he can still hit. Bonds batted .277 with 28 home runs, 66 RBI and 75 runs scored last year. He also had a .480 on-base percentage. That isn't still a major-league bat?

Lofton could still be useful, too. He hit .303 and stole 21 bases in a little over 300 at-bats last year. But he has absolutely no room to bitch because he turned down an offer from the Rays in March. Lofton is insisting on a full-time role and the salary to go with it and he just isn't worth it any more.
