Pompei quits Tribune

    I don't know the details of his radio job but if I could see where a big name reporter connected to the Bears could be getting something close to the Tribune pay in that media market. Throw in the other free-lance writing jobs Pompei has and he could be at least coming close to his Tribune salary.

    I'd bet he is. If he has a regular radio gig in Chicago, those jobs pay a lot. If he's full-time at Sports on Earth, he may very well be making as much there as he was at the Chicago Tribune. Bleacher report is paying well for top talent these days, which Pompei definitely is.
