    Stephen A. Smith was one of the reporter-panelists on "Hardball" with Chris Matthews tonight, discussing the Democratic debate. I have no comment on that, but I thought people might like to know.

    He's been on Hardball a couple of times, IIRC. I've been lucky enough to avoid it.

    The guy is just horrible.

    Unless SAS is out with Inky's political staff covering the elections, he has no business being on Hardball discussing the presidential elections.

    Oh right. He's not even on the Inky staff anymore.

    That's pretty much par for the course on that show. He and Matthews are pretty similar in that their idea of a discussion on issues is similar to handing a two-year old some matches and a Dixie cup of gasoline while the tot is tap dancing on on a glass table top in golf shoes and when things go horribly awry they say "Wow, interesting!"
