    Tremendous work on this thread, folks. I'm pissed I got beaten to the Top Gun reference.

    Oh, and nice work on the initial cop "quotes," goalmouth. Would've been great if they had that kind of sense of humor.

    I heard Carlos Marmol killed the cougar with his slider. It didn't hit him, but he thought it would, and the mere thought eliminated his will to live.

    But Cole Hamels' change-up reversed the rotation of the Earth, bringing the cougar back to life, just as he whipped a fastball to kill it again. Hamels giveth, Hamels taketh away.
