Talk about police gone wild, so police are upset about a police report being leaked (about death of Jeff Adachi the Public Defender who exposed police misconduct on multiple occasions) so instead of coming down in the leaker intheir iwn dept they do a knockdown raid on the journalist who got the report, complete with shotguns drawn and handcuffing. On a JOURNALIST!! Talk about a non violent threat. (All due respect to power of pen). Idiotic, and finally after leaders initially justifying it Chief apologizes and admits wrong and illegal.

San Francisco police chief sorry for raid on journalist

What is really interesting is that the Chronicle and local news stations have ignored the story.

Chronicle did get on the train finally. In fact, EIC Audrey Cooper is a guest on "Reliable Sources" Sunday.

Yashar Ali, who drove the bus on this one, is becoming a very, very influential reporter. People clearly trust him.

His twitter is full of bath towel debates and elephants (he sponsors them), so I can't stick with it...but his reporting is great
