Poin files: Teacher of the Year Edition

Some might say all Poin teachers deserve Teacher of the Year.

 

Not all. There have been quite a few bowwowzers.

 

A for effort, it's the thought that counts, etc.

I agree. We rag on the "Everybody-wins-a-trophy" mindset around here but to me, these are all special women.

Especially 32-year-old Daresa Poe, sex education teacher at Waynoka High School in Oklahoma. Not only is she an early contender for the 2015 Most-Ironic-Poin-Educator-of-the-Year Award, she actually confessed in writing to tutoring her young charge in his truck, the teachers' lounge, etc. etc.

No more awkward, fun-killing "allegedly"s! Way to go Daresa! Hold that head up high as you walk on out of that courthouse (or jail or whatever!)

I don't know how the Teacher of the Year voting is going to come out, but Ms. Poe is the all-time leader in Greatest Difference Between Her Hotness And Her Mug Shot.

 

Her victim is just a Poe boy from a Poe family.

 

That's not even the Greatest Difference in this thread. With the evidence on the previous page, I think Ms. Scroggs set a world record in that category.

I don't know. Once the mug shot is taken the teaching career is over and anything else they do doesn't qualify for the Poin files, right?

 

Bump - this one didn't get nearly the attention it deserved.

Here was Poe's apology letter:

'I am Daresa Poe, a wife, mother and teacher,' the affadavit said.

'I have made a horrible mistake.

'I have let my judgment falter and I am embarrassed and mortified for the decisions I have made in the last two weeks.

'I have had sexual intercourse with a student.

'I am so very sorry for the (decisions) I have made.

'I would take it back in a heartbeat if the chance was given to me.

'I hold a position of importance where people and student look up to me and I have failed.

'For this I am truly sorry.'
