    It's completely fake.

Faker than fake. How would they have a tight sideline shot of a ballgirl on short notice?

My wife forwarded this to me from her office yesterday. Shameful.

    Oh, lighten up.

It's a pretty cool little thing.

    The girl's pretty hot, too.

In that slow-motion replay, it looks obviously fake to me. Looks like George Lucas-esque CGI.

Why are we even debating if this is real or fake anymore? Did anyone not see the link posted that this was a Gatorade ad?

And the "George Lucas-esque CGI" consisted of an animated ball that was barely discernible. ::) The girl was real, and hooked up to a rig to pull her up a few extra feet. Not exactly the stuff of Industrial Light and Magic.

Cool spot, though. Great idea and well executed.

Maybe some people like to argue.

Or it's the feeling one gets when they have to give up Santa Claus, knowing that they're forfeiting all those goodies since Mom and Dad can now just send gifts from Mom and Dad and cut their spending in half.

how many left handed catchers are there nowadays?

The catcher is right-handed before the pitch and left-handed when shown standing up at home plate.

    Yeah, that's a little fishy.

But just because it looks impossible and there is a web story quoting a guy saying it's fake, I still think it's true.

I mean, that whole web story about what a fake it is could be false, right? You just can't trust the internet.
