TV and radio here seems to think a deal to keep the team in Pittsburgh will be done in the next few days.

ya, it looks that way, the governor has offered them a pretty good deal on a new arena, Kansas City is really the only competition but I think they are going to stay in the Burgh, I think they are just posturing for a better deal though ... I guess we'll see in a week or so

Pens are second in the Atlantic Division to New Jersey, who they would face as the seventh seed if the Eastern Conference playoffs were to start today.

Pens are actually on fire right now, they have the best young talent in the league and arguably the best player in the league (who is only 19), who the hell wouldn't want to buy them (anyone with an extra $200 mil anyway)

We were all there, we all saw it with our own eyes!!

  8. Mark Madden says Pens have an arena deal, then less than hour later, he's reporting "not so fast".

KDKA's Andy Sheehan says deal is not done, close but could breakdown again.

TSN's Bob McKenzie says the deal is not done and hit a stumbling block.

Pierre McGuire told guys with MSG (on tv), Pens have an arena deal.

    So go figure....

Sorry, still haven't seen the movie. :-[

  10. McKenzie just told me, he's spoken with Pierre in the last hour and he knows the radio reports earlier were not correct.

The arena deal will be finalized, fans should not worry about the team leaving from everything I'm hearing.

Not really much of a surprise.
The Pens have held a gun to the city's head from the beginning.
