    Please guys...can we just try not to be assholes?

    This is really some disturbing shit. Matador mentioned 3 guys from Pittsburgh. If it's the ones I'm thinking of, I have met all three. I knew the other two better than Duff. And I couldn't have imagined it from any of them. Makes me sick. I hope there is some mistake, but my faith in humanity is so shot these days that I have a hard time believing that.

    Tough to be entrapped if one is following the straight and narrow in this case.

    Dude willingly went to meet a girl he thought was 15, and he's in his 20s. The only thing that entrapped him was his own poor judgment.

    I have no faith in any adult, in any walk of life, to do anything right, whatsoever. Having absolutely zero expectations of your fellow man to do the right thing has a surprisingly calming effect on one. I never ever get surprised, or feel depressed, when I hear a story like this one, or whatever the creepy story du jour is. You might want to try it. Come on over to the dark side.

    What happens if he was 18 and still in HS?

    Then he'd post on this board and like rap music and the Dodgers.

    ;D ::)

    18 is the cutoff age for statutory rape in some states. If the law applies, same as if he were 22. He's just less of a loser, since at least he might still be in high school. College-age dude going to meet a 15-year-old = LOSER.

    I would think common sense would dictate that if you're 22, you have little to no business admiring 15-year-old girls at such close proximity.

    But it appears that notion is completely wrong.

    It's not entrapment if they know beforehand that the person is underage. They're going after forbidden fruit, so to speak, and they know it.

    Bob, if you took the time to read that post. You read everything that was said afterwards.
    Go bait somoneelse in your childish horseshit. The conversation was good until your arrival and will be better with either a solid contribution or your departure. The choice is yours.

  11. Police are not supposed to create crimes. There's a fairly serious rule against self-incrimination that I seem to recall from somewhere. Not in this case, where the guy actually showed up, but the guys that get busted just for communicating? Less sure.

    But are they creating a crime? No one told this guy to knowgly arrange a date with a child.
