Pittsburgh area fitness center massacre

So it's not a person randomly shooting a place full of strangers. It's a person randomly shooting a place full of strangers, and one person they do know. Those seem to be the two main categories for these nuts.

 

My God.

 

Man, poor Pittsburgh seems to be getting more than their share of this crap, recently.

Fuck.

 

All TV stations have been live for the past few hours. Yes, it sounds like it was a domestic dispute. All victims were woman, as apparently the gunman walked into the aerobics class, shut off the lights, and started shooting.

I was in the area earlier in the evening (picking up a pizza from Mineo's in Mt. Lebo) and saw all the cops and ambulances...there were a ton of first responders that headed to the scene.

 

Holy shit. Just fucking crazy.

 

rip to all -- save the gunman, if he is among the dead. hope he rots in hell.

as always, why don't these assholes START by offing themselves? ??? ??? ???

Not to sound flip, but that would be counterproductive. You don't get your day in the spotlight if you kill yourself first, and these assholes are ALL about attention.

 

Remember Winona Ryder asking Christian Slater in "Heathers" why are we killing them(?)" and he responds "so they'll remember us" or something like that.

Incidents like this always reinforce the same message to me: Live every day like it's your last. Before you walk out the door in the morning, be sure to give your spouse and kids a kiss. Most of the time we can count on an uneventful trip to the 7-11 or the bank or Home Depot, but you never know. None of us has any guarantees.
