Just saw this now, haven't heard it anywhere else though, yet. The WWL is reporting Dave Wannstedt is stepping down at Pitt.

I don't agree with making the move after this season. There's not many better coaches out there who would want this job, unless you consider someone like Phil Fulmer an upgrade. Pitt should throw everything they got at someone who would be a reach, like Chris Petersen, but that's probably not gonna happen.

I've always liked Wanny. He'll be fine. Not so sure the Panthers will be, though.

The "Stache" (Dave Wannstedt) resigns from Pitt

He has underperformed more than most coaches in America. About time he realized his time was through with that school.

    'Bout time.

There is already talk of bringing R-Rod to Pitt.

That sucks. He's a good guy.

That said, Pitt should be the class of the Big East. They should be to the Big East what Ohio State is to the Big Ten. One huge reason the Big East is so bad is because Pitt hasn't set the pace.

Great minds think alike. Apparently the Pitt hierarchy is on a different page, though.

Well, if Rodriguez does as well as he did at West Virginia, not many Pitt fans would complain about that.
